September is national preparedness month! 

Over here at SERVPRO we try and give you five of the tools to be prepared as possible for when these large storms hit. 

First, have a plan if you need to evacuate and a place to meet if you get separated. 

Second, recycle cardboard and replace with plastic tubs to hold storage items. Place these on high shelving to reduce the chances of flood water reaching them 

Third, bottled water and non perishable foods in a reachable area incase you need them. 

Fourth, a back up power source incase you lose power at all or for an extended period of time along with this make sure you have gasoline to keep it running. 

Fifth, flashlights and battery chargers for getting everything set up.
