Fires, diving into the demolition part two

Welcome back!
Last time we talked about general wall and ceiling demolition for odor. This time we are going to talk about smaller fires and how mitigation is performed if there is not major structural damage.
For smaller fires that get under control quickly the process shifts more to cleaning and odor control.
For every fire all salvageable content is thoroughly cleaned and returned to the homeowner. This process can take days even weeks depending on the size of the project. If there is no major burned structure, walls ceilings and floors can be cleaned. This is a three step process: sponge, wet wipe, and seal. Sponging removes as much soot as possible that is just sitting on the surface. Next, wet wiping gets more of that hard to get off soot from the surface. Finally we seal for odor to ensure that fire smell dissipates and it doubles and a prep for repainting afterwards.
After this we go back through all the content and do a thorough walk through of the property to double check we didn't miss anything.
