Sometimes it's best to leave it to the professionals

During water damage in a home or business, no one ever fully knows the extent of the damage until they call on professionals to come out and investigate. That's where SERVPRO of Salem County comes in. We know the ins and outs of it all. We know just what to do and where to start.
For example:
As we received the call to come out to this job (pictured), all we knew was water damage occurred throughout the carpeted area. We were advised they had fans facing the affected areas at that moment and their insurance adjuster told them to have someone to come out and professionally clean the carpets. That's all. The customer expressed some concern with that and the concern for mold as well, rightfully so.
We advised the customer that we would come out and do an evaluation and come up with a game plan based on what we see.
After the customer advised us that the carpet was wet due to a "minor flood" in the home that covered multiple rooms. With the knowledge our team obtained from proper training, we know water damage. When flooding occurs, it effects not only the carpet but the carpet pads and flooring under that. If the carpet pad is saturated with water and not dried properly. The possibility of mold forming then starts.
Upon our team’s arrival, we couldn't just clean the carpets and call it a day. That's not how we do business. With the extent of this "minor flood", it did affect the carpet pad (just what we thought). We turned this "carpet cleaning" into a full job, for the benefit of this customer.
There are always more key points to factor in when it comes to any sort of damage. You can always call on us here at SERVPRO, we are Here to Help!
